Links to Legal Assistant Professional Associations & Other Useful Sites!!

Here you will find links to a variety of professional associations that may be of interest to legal assistants.  Some are designed specifically for legal assistants; others are not.  For example, legal assistants often must handle law office management duties, so I've included a link to a Web site for law office managers.  Other links are to legal directories where you can navigate to find useful information.  Happy surfing!

Legal Directories & Portals

These are places to go looking for everything law-related on the Internet.  If you are doing legal research, looking for process servers, investigators, or court reporters, want to find a job, or you just want to network, check these sites out.

Findlaw -- a huge site with all kinds of stuff related to the law, including links to information about legal assisting, legal assistant education, and much more.

Heiros Gamos -- a comprehensive legal directory with a goofy name.  There are lots of useful resources for legal assistants, like information about process servers, expert witnesses, private investigators, and court reporters.

Jurist -- a site that bills itself as being for law professors, but it has tons of information about the law, and it's a great place to visit.  If you're doing legal research on the Internet, you will want to visit this site.

Megalaw -- another general legal site where you can link to information that legal assistants need, like a site about court reporters, and another about process servers.

Washburn Law School Portal -- the site looks quite plain, but it is a terrific resource for just about anything related to the law.
