Short Bio:

Dr. Brake holds degrees in physics and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. She has 17 years experience directing doctoral students as well as over 20 years research experience in plasma physics. She also taught high school physics for three years.


Areas of Expertise:

Modeling of chemically reacting flowing gases, optical diagnostics, plasma diagnostics, use of microwaves and radio waves to generate discharges.
