Mentor A Program Student
Remember what it was like when you were a student
in the Program? Chances are that when you
were here, there were times you wished that you
could talk to someone who came before you.
Maybe you wondered what being a paralegal was really
like. Or perhaps you weren't sure if you'd
made the right career choice. It could be
that you just wanted someone to talk to. Guess
what? There are students in the Program today
who feel exactly as you did back then. That's
the reason the Program has launched the "Be
A Mentor" project.
Being a mentor to a current Program student does
not involve a huge commitment of your time.
It can be whatever you and your student want it
to be. If you're willing to participate, contact
the
Program Coordinator. Each term, we let
students in the Program's introductory course, LEGL
211, know about the "Be A Mentor" project.
Those who express an interest are put in touch with
someone like you, who wants to act as a mentor.
The two of you take it from there. Just a
bit of your time and attention can make a big difference
in a student's life.
