Admissions
Admission to Eastern
Michigan University
In order to be admitted
to the Program, you must first be admitted to EMU.
You can apply to EMU
online. You can also download the
application form (in PDF format), complete it,
and mail it to the Admissions Office. Note
that both undergraduates and Second Bachelor's
Degree candidates apply as undergraduates.
You'll want to be sure to submit all the
information needed to process your application,
and make sure your application reaches the
University by the required
deadline. For more information, contact
the
Admissions Office. If you are transferring
to EMU from another college or university, you'll
want to check out the Program's
Transfer Page.
Admission to the Program
Admission to the Program is competitive.
A limited number of seats in each entering Fall and
Winter term class will be available. Seats in
each entering class will be awarded based on: (1) cumulative
GPA; (2) grades earned in three prerequisite courses (ENGL
121, LEGL 211, and LEGL 304); and (3) an interview
with the Program Coordinator. To be admitted to
the Program, you must complete and submit the
Program Application Form to the Program Coordinator.
You can also request a copy of the application from the
Program Coordinator. Timely application for
admission to the Program does not guarantee
admission. Likewise, because admission to the
Program is competitive, the fact that you have
satisfied the criteria set forth in the Admission
Policy does not guarantee your admission. A student who is
declined admission for any term is free to re-apply
for admission in a later term. For more
information, consult the Program's
Admission Policy
or contact the
Program Coordinator.
