All public, educational institutions have free access to the McAfee virus scanner. Although you can not download it directly from McAfee's Web site, you can get it from the ICT by clicking here. Symantec's Norton AntiVirus Scanner comes with most new computers. This is not a free software. For that reason you will see less of it on campus.

You are required to have a virus scanner on your computer. If your computer does not have a virus scanner, McAfee can be installed for free. Otherwise a third party software must be purchased. Lack of virus protection will remove your network access. See your network administrator for details.
